Food is integral to a Scenic experience. The Scenic Dining Venues
The Panorama Lounge offers a comfortable setting with ceiling to floor windows providing excellent views and a large central bar area serving top shelf spirits day and night, as well as beer and wine. This lounge also hosts nightly entertainment and special performances presented by onboard musicians and local entertainers. There is also a 24-hour coffee service along with the River Café, which is located in the lounge. At the bow of the ship is a spacious sitting area where outside seating is available. This space converts to Portobello’s in the evening. Outdoor areas, on the bow and on the Sun-Deck, offer spectacular vistas to the beauty of Europe.
Crystal Dining Room
At the heart of each ship is the Crystal Dining Room, a world- class epicurean journey. Spacious and light with floor to ceiling glass windows, our Crystal Dining Room guarantees a front row seat to the passing countryside.
Signature dishes pay homage to our destinations, from wiener schnitzel to Black Forest gateau, while themed dinners and the Captain’s Dinner will be highlights of the cruise. A generous selection of complimentary, unlimited beverages are included with every meal including:

Boasting the best vantage point at the bow of the ship at the front of the lounge, an evening in Portobellos is a showcase of Italian cuisine with a five-course menu prepared by our acclaimed chefs with the freshest of ingredients from the local markets.
Exceptional wines handpicked by our sommelier from the best boutique wineries will round out your clients’ culinary experience. Every guest will be invited to a night of ‘la dolce vita’ at Portobellos. Table seating can accommodate from 2-8 guests.
Table La Rive
Dégustation is a high culinary art using the senses. Reserved for up to ten Diamond Deck (and Jr. Suites on Sapphire deck) guests per evening, diners will join our executive chef at Table La Rive for a very special tasting menu and wine pairing. Showcasing seasonal local cuisine matched by our sommelier to premium boutique wines over six superb courses, Table La Rive delivers a taste of our signature dishes paired with appropriate wines with our executive chef. If you have a client that enjoys wine pairing and food tastings, this is the opportunity to upsell them to a Diamond Deck suite.
River Café
River Café is open to all guests with a delicious range of light meals, snacks, and refreshments. Conveniently located in the Panorama Lounge and open from early morning until evening, it is a perfect place to relax. Your clients can also order a picnic basket for their ScenicTailormade discovery, enjoy an early, light breakfast at sunrise or order a late lunch of freshly made salads, sandwiches, wraps, fish and chips, gourmet pizza or gelato and pastries for a sweet treat.
Cuisine in your clients’ suite, stateroom or ‘Sun-Lounge’
A limited selection of our buffet and hot á la carte favorites can be made to order and served by your clients’ butler in their suite at any time of day or night. Your clients can enjoy a snack or meal whenever the mood strikes from the comfort of their private balcony and toast the beautiful landscapes of Europe with a complimentary beverage of their choice.
OUR Impeccable 5-Star Luxury SERVICE
All guests in staterooms and suites will have the benefit of our exclusive Personal Butler service. Whatever stateroom your clients choose, their butler is available to provide complimentary refreshments at their leisure. Their butler will also provide valet services that include organizing theater tickets and limousines, as well as making onshore arrangements or salon appointments. Even a shoeshine service is provided. Any additional services provided by the butler will be based on the cabin category. It is these thoughtful extra touches, delivered with impeccable, friendly service that will make your clients’ Scenic river cruise so special. Our butlers are graduates of the International Butler Academy in The Netherlands.
Laundry Concierge
New in 2016, Scenic will provide a laundry concierge for all guests. Two kilograms (approximately 4.4 pounds) of laundry per guest per cruise included as part of our on board service.
Tipping and Gratuities
For all practical purposes, your clients can leave their wallets at home. Scenic pre-pays all tips and gratuities to the onboard and onshore staff for the various Scenic Free Choice, Scenic Enrich and Scenic Sundowners programs.
We know you have heard the phrase “all-inclusive” used loosely in the travel trade before, leading to false expectations. Not so with Scenic, your clients will not have any surprise charges or need to constantly tip during their trip with Scenic.
THE ONSHORE EXPERIENCE

We call it Scenic Freechoice. From memorable coach tours to the very best local tour guides to electric assist bicycles, our exclusive Scenic Enrich and our new Sundowners events, your clients will have multiple choices to soak up the rich histories of Europe and create wonderful memories.
Scenic FreeChoice offers multiple coach, walking, and bicycling excursions at every port. Each excursion is designed for immersion into the local culture and history while providing the choice for independent discovery.
Scenic Tailormade is designed for the more independent and adventurous, our proprietary Tailormade GPS system enables your clients to go touring ashore on their own – by foot or by bicycle. The Tailormade devices assist in finding interesting sites, and also to finding their way back to the ship.
Scenic Tailormade allows your clients to personalize and make the most of their Europe river cruise. Each cabin has two Tailormade devices with a docking station. The device is for your clients to use for the duration of the cruise, simply placing it back in the docking station to re-charge each night. Whether your clients choose to listen on board, walk or use our complimentary electric bicycles, your clients will experience the most relaxing and enjoyable form of independent exploration and cultural interaction. Perhaps tour Amsterdam’s canals and bridges and be informed about their fascinating history as they enjoy a coffee along the way or stop for strudel as they discover the influence of the Habsburgs in Vienna, or simply wander through Regensburg at their leisure listening to the stories of the greatest inhabited palace in Germany. Whatever your clients’ interests and preferred pace, the choice is all theirs.
Scenic Enrich is Our exclusive, most memorable authentic dining experiences and special performances. Other cruise lines charge extra for these. With Scenic these exclusive events are included with no additional cost.
If the amazing selection of onboard dining options wasn’t enough, there are unique opportunities to savor meals in stunning locations such as the Palais-des-Papes, the Baroque Rastatt Palace or the 12th century Marksburg Castle. While many dinners are set in spectacular surroundings; some are simply authentic, home-cooked meals not to be found anywhere else. Certain itineraries offer home-hosted meals – which are a real favorite of our guests. Your clients are invited to share a meal in the intimate surroundings of a local family home. An experience which cannot be replicated.
As part of our commitment to immersing you into the cultural traditions of Europe, we are pleased to introduce a brand new experience in 2015 for all guests on all Scenic ‘Space-Ships’. The Scenic electric assist bicycles enable travelers to venture beyond the normal coach or walking tour. Each cruise offers one or two guided bike tours and travelers can use them independently with or without the Scenic Tailormade. Our bicycles allow your clients to see Europe beyond the typical shore excursion, creating unique and wonderful memories.
