Over 50 of Nexion Travel Group’s top producers gathered in Punta Cana to mark the year’s achievements and give back to the community
IRVING, TX (February 6, 2020) – Nexion® Travel Group, the travel industry’s premier full-service host travel agency, recently celebrated many of its top-producing sellers during its President’s Circle Celebration, where top advisors are offered the opportunity to network, learn, volunteer and relax. This year, the annual recognition event, which took place December 13 to 17, 2019, was sponsored by GOGO Vacations and hosted by the Excellence El Carmen in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
Attendees on the President’s Circle Celebration consisted of many of the Nexion Travel Group members who have earned the Circle of Excellence and MillionAir designations. The Circle of Excellence recognizes members who have met high sales goals and achieved business growth in the last year using Nexion Travel Group’s preferred supplier partners. A Nexion Travel Group member who is a MillionAir has personally sold over $1 million in air travel, with at least $750,000 coming from preferred air suppliers.
“These members are the backbone of Nexion Travel Group, and it was wonderful to gather together to celebrate their success,” said Jackie Friedman, CTC, CTIE, President of Nexion Travel Group. “I am deeply proud of all these entrepreneurs for achieving the lofty goals set out for them. As we begin 2020, I know we will see even more success from them, and we could not be more excited about that.”
In addition to enjoying the Excellence El Carmen’s many features and amenities, President’s Circle Celebration attendees were treated to two special excursions: dune buggy riding and catamaran sailing. The advisors were also able to participate in a supplier roundtable, go on luxury hotel site inspections in Punta Cana and Cap Cana, and take part in several educational sessions on selling in 2020.
“Besides celebrating a successful year as a top Nexion Travel Group member, the President’s Circle trip gave me the chance to meet with the supplier partners who help me grow my business, and to learn from my fellow travel advisors,” said Savannah Hill of the Savvy Travel Agency, who achieved Circle of Excellence. “I have moved into 2020 with even bigger goals, and I can’t wait to keep building my travel agency with the support of Nexion Travel Group.”
New this year, the trip included a volunteering component. The advisors worked alongside partners from the non-profit SolarBuddy to assemble solar-powered portable lights that can be used by children in the Dominican Republic. Electrical power in developing countries can be spotty, leading to “energy poverty” and children not being able to read or study after dark. The lights give children and families the opportunity to build better lives.
