New Specials Help Globetrotters Embark on the Ultimate Australian Rail Journey

Goway Travel is launching two new specials to delight train buffs keen on an Australian Outback vacation.

Goway Travel, the leaders in travel Downunder, have announced two new rail specials for travel on Australia’s most iconic train journeys, The Ghan and the Indian Pacific.

Explore the Outback is a 7-day vacation starting in Adelaide. Passengers enjoy a 3-night stay in Adelaide before embarking on the Ghan for a journey through the Australian Outback. They enjoy comfortable Gold standard service and accommodation in their twin share cabin, with all meals on board featuring modern Australian cuisine served in the Queen Adelaide Restaurant, plus off-train experiences. Beverages are also included and are available in the Outback Explorer Lounge. On arrival in Alice Springs, passengers enjoy some free time before heading to Uluru – a highlight for many. A special evening is spent at the Field of Light, an art installation of 50,000 lights in the desert overlooking Ayers Rock. A sunrise tour completes the experience, taking in the spectacular morning light as it spills over the Rock. Pricing starts at $1319USD/$1779 per person, twin share for travel December ’17 to February ’18.

The legendary Ghan train was named after the hardy Afghans and their camel trains which provided the only means of transport into “The Red Centre” in the early days. The journey now takes passengers from Adelaide to Alice Springs to Darwin and v.v. Other great rail ideas include the Classic Aussie Rail Spectacular which features both the Ghan and Indian Pacific Trains, the Indian Pacific offering an epic journey from Sydney to Perth, joining the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
