HILTON MIAMI DOWNTOWN HOSTS 25th ANNUAL INN KEY AWARDS

— AND COMES HOME WITH A FEW TROPHIES OF ITS OWN

MIAMI (May 15, 2019) – On May 3, 2019, Hilton Miami Downtown had the privilege of hosting the 25thannual GMBHA Inn Key Awards Luncheon – and had the even greater privilege of seeing its own employee, Michael Foster, take home the Lodging Employee of the Year (over 200 rooms) award. Additionally, Hilton Miami Downtown was honored with the Diversity in the Workplace for Hotels (over 200 rooms) award.

For the past 25 years, the Greater Miami and the Beaches Hotel Association (GMBHA) has celebrated Miami-area hotels’ hourly employees at the Inn Key Awards Luncheon, with over 880 guests in attendance and more than 70 hotels represented. During the event, the GMBHA honors over 400 nominees in 21 categories ranging from Bellmen to Engineering Personnel, as well as two Lodging Employees of the Year.

“The 25th Annual Inn Key Awards Luncheon was an incredible tribute to Miami’s hardworking hotel employees, and we were honored to hold the event at Hilton Miami Downtown,” said Hilton Miami Downtown’s General Manager Sirle Martorell. “Winning two Inn Key Awards this year was the icing on the cake. Conrad Hilton set out to ‘fill the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality’ and 100 years later, we are fully committed to an inclusive workforce that represents many different cultures, backgrounds and viewpoints. Additionally, Michael’s recognition as Lodging Employee of the Year is very much well-deserved for all his hard work and we couldn’t be more proud of him.”

A huge asset to the Hilton Miami Downtown team, Michael Foster brings almost four decades of experience to his role as Purchasing Supervisor. Regardless of constant changes and diverse projects, he has always proven to meet deadlines efficiently and is always willing to share his expertise with his co-workers. With his positive attitude and attention to detail, Michael always strives to make his job more effective and everyone around him more productive.
