G Adventures announces G-Normous winners

The seventh annual agent incentive program offers deep appreciation to agent community

G-Normous, G Adventures largest annual agent incentive program, wrapped up on April 30th and recognized a total of 51 winners over the four-month period who went above and beyond, booking life-changing trips for their clients. The incentive program recognizes North American agents in five different categories, including overall top selling agents in US/Latin America and Canada and those agents who led in selling private groups. Eligibility was not affected with regard to the suspension of tours as of March 15.

This year’s program, which kicked off in January, started in what now seems like a completely different world. The circumstances and challenges that presented themselves in the months following were beyond the imagination of any in the industry, and G Adventures wants the agent community to know just how much they are appreciated and valued.

“We are beyond thankful to all of the agents that participated in G-Normous this year,” said Jenn Stevens, G Adventures’ US trade marketing manager. “We know how challenging the past several months have been, and we want the agent community to know that we are dedicated to supporting them in every way possible as the industry begins to rebound. Agents are life-changers, and G Adventures is proud to show our appreciation and solidarity with the community.”

Of note, this year’s program had the most agents participating in the history of G-Normous, we saw a 12% overall sales increase in the US during the month of February, and had the most first-time booking agents since the start of the program seven years ago. As with each year, our mission isn’t just to drive sales, but rather to change lives through travel, and G Adventures is proud to share that G-Normous 7.0 broke new records.

The grand prize in the US was awarded to Carly Heyward of Alpharetta, GA, who changed nearly 20 lives with the majority of her bookings being “bucket-list” expedition trips to the Antarctic. “Winning G-Normous has been surreal!,” said Heyward. “G is my go-to, it is the only company that I never had any complaints from clients. After my own trip to Antarctica with them, I have been passionate about sharing my love for the expedition trips. I’m also very passionate about the environment and helping local economies, and G matches my values, so selling G is a natural fit.” Asked how she will use her winnings, Carly said, “travel, of course!”

Second prize winner, Rachel Boren of Boise, ID, says “It’s easy for me to confidently send my clients anywhere with G, as I know that my clients will be in excellent hands. I always say that being on a G Adventures trip is like being in a destination and having your best friend show you around.” Boren adds, “My lifelong passion for travel and learning about other cultures, coupled with my desire to help people “expand their comfort zones” is what makes being a travel advisor my dream job. Here’s to brighter days ahead and making a difference in people’s lives!”

The travel agent community is advised to keep an eye out in the fall for a possible G-Normous Encore!
