BCD Travel, Southwest Airlines and Oracle Recognized for Innovation and Industry Collaboration
ARLINGTON, Va. – Oct. 7, 2019 – Airlines Reporting Corp. (ARC) announced the winners of its annual Travel Agency Representative of the Year, Airline Representative of the Year and President’s awards at its TravelConnect customer conference.
ARC presented its Travel Agency Representative of the Year Award to BCD Travel for its strong focus on innovation. Southwest Airlines won ARC’s Airline Representative of the Year award for its expanded investment in the travel agency community. This summer, Southwest announced that it will leverage ARC’s network of accredited corporate travel agencies to seamlessly support business travelers, enabling them to book in the channel of their choosing. “This announcement has been warmly welcomed by the corporate travel community and opens up new opportunities for business travelers across their entire travel journey,” said ARC’s Vice President of Airline Retailing and Settlement, Chuck Fischer.
ARC also presented its President’s Award to Rita Visser, director of global travel sourcing and global process owner at Oracle.
