Program sees record-breaking growth in participation records and maximizing their rewards
NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA (January 28, 2020) – AMResorts®, an Apple Leisure Group company, closed 2019 with another year of unprecedented growth for the company’s robust travel agent loyalty program, AMRewards™.
More than 45,000 travel agents have registered for the program, shattering previous participation records with a three percent increase year over year in bookings entered. Agents also maximized their rewards like never before, redeeming 16 percent more points in 2019 than the previous year. Agents redeemed their points on new promotions, such as discounted points stays and 50 percent off the booking bonus redemptions right in time for Christmas shopping.

Continued upgrades and rewarding promotions helped fuel the program’s expansion through 2019 and are expected to build for a stronger 2020. To continue to foster growth and the relationship between AMRewards™ and the travel agents, AMResorts® is kicking off 2020 with a new promotion, giving away a stay a month to an agent entering their first booking in the year.
In addition to the properties that opened at the end of 2019, agents will also have the opportunity to use their AMRewards™ points to visit four new resorts opening in the beginning of 2020. Dreams® Vista Cancun Resort & Spa, a contemporary family resort set in the exclusive gated community of Puerta del Mar, will welcome guests beginning in February 2020. Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana, a luxurious, family-friendly hotel situated on the picturesque Macao Beach in the Dominican Republic, is slated to begin welcoming guests in March 2020. Now® Natura Riviera Cancun, a family-friendly beachfront property in the Riviera Maya region of Mexico, will begin welcoming guests in March 2020. Also scheduled to open in March 2020 is Secrets® St. Martin Resort & Spa, which marks not only AMResorts®’ first property on the island, but also the collection’s first resort in the French Caribbean.
Agents will still be able to use their points to further reward their loyal clientele. Through the program, agents are able to surprise their guests with extra perks, such as a relaxing spa treatment, breakfast in bed, or a romantic dinner for two.
