Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic David Collado Leads Official Ceremonies at Both Luxury Family-Friendly Resorts
NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA (Oct. 5, 2020) – AMResorts®, an Apple Leisure Group company, officially reopens Dreams® Dominicus La Romana and Dreams® Punta Cana on Thursday, October 1 and Friday, October 2, respectively, during ceremonies headed by the Minister of Tourism of the Dominican Republic David Collado, along with company executives. The company will reopen four additional properties in the country this month.
On October 1, Collado and government officials in attendance at Dreams® Dominicus La Romana were joined by Daniel Hernández, regional vice president of operations of AMResorts® in the Dominican Republic, Denis Rosario, regional director of finance of AMResorts®, and Luis Núñez, regional commercial director of AMResorts®. They were also accompanied by Javier Tejada, property representative, and Amando Pozo, managing director of Dreams Dominicus La Romana, among other resort representatives and executives.

Held in the majestic lobby bar of the Unlimited-Luxury® resort Dreams® Dominicus La Romana, the first opening ceremony began with welcome remarks by Hernández and remarks by Collado, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony joined by Paola Rainieri, president of the Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic, and Andres Fernández, president of the La Romana-Bayahibe Hotel Association, among others. The event, which followed safety guidelines, concluded with a toast and the welcoming of the resort’s first guest.
